Off Waterproof Mascara

Not too long ago, ladies did not have the luxury of using waterproof mascara. The best thing about these products is that their effect does not fade away easily and they are wonderful for hot days or days when its pouring.

One of the primary reasons why athletes like to use it is that it does not get runny or fade under your eyes whether you sweat in the gym or on the track or even if you go for a swim. However, the issue usually is that you might land up struggling to remove it. After all, we use water to clean makeup normally and water is precisely what we want the waterproof mascara to resist.

If you are not cautious, you may even end up losing some of the eye lashes which will cause irritation to the delicate skin around the eyes and may even result an infection. But there is no need to fret as there are better ways. You need to clean your eyelashes but you should do it in a healthy way.

The most popular way of removing makeup is still water and soap. Apart from the truth that it dries out your skin and especially the skin around your eyes, if the soap gets into your eyes, it burns like pepper. Moreover, despite all the effort and discomfort that goes with this method, there are good chances that you may finish up with some water-resistant mascara left on your lashes.

There is another way to get rid of waterproof mascaras; to do so you will need a couple things. Firstly, get some cotton balls and cotton swabs. Then, you also need a good quality water-resistant eye makeup remover, which can cost you anything from  $7 to $30. Finally, buy some good yet gentle facial cleanser. Once you have got these things handy, you are ready to start cleaning.

Take the cotton wool, flatten it a little and wet it thoroughly with the eye makeup remover. This cotton wool should be put directly under the eyelashes. Then press your eye lashes against the cotton ball. There is no need to move the the cotton ball against the lashes, just keep it still for 30 secs. This will give the remover good time to clean the mascara. After you have kept it in place for some seconds, move the cotton wool in an upward motion without pulling.

Do this many times till the eyelashes are clean. To clean the rot of your lashes from the final vestiges of mascara, dip the cotton bud into eye makeup cleanser, and rub the cotton swab against the base of your lashes without pulling them. The moment your lashes are cleaned to your satisfaction, use mild facial cleanser to get rid of anything left behind and wash with plenty of moderately warm water.
